Hard Drive Shredding & Destruction
Speak to our team about hard drive destruction requirements. The collection service does not imply on-site shredding.
Request a collection quoteHard drive collection for physical destruction enquiries
Our collection service for hard drive shredding enquiries covers business storage media held as loose drives or within retired computers and servers. Office clear-outs and infrastructure upgrades can produce a mixture of internal, external and server drives, each requiring a clear description in the enquiry. Tell us which media need physical destruction and any records your organisation requires, so the scope can be discussed before collection. On-site shredding is not implied.
Business hard drives can be collected as loose media or while still installed in computers and servers. The required destruction scope must be discussed before collection.

Prepare a hard drive destruction enquiry
Count and identify drives
Describe internal, external, laptop and server drives in the enquiry and give an approximate quantity.
Confirm drive condition
Tell us whether drives are loose, mounted in caddies or remain inside complete equipment.
Agree the collection scope
Collection arrangements are confirmed after the physical destruction requirement has been discussed.
Managing drives intended for destruction
We arrange onward recycling and treatment based on the electrical waste being collected and your location.
Drives identified for physical destruction follow the scope agreed for the enquiry. A collection request does not imply that shredding happens at your site or that a certificate is included unless confirmed by our team.
The importance of recycling hard drives
Hard drives contain aluminium, steel, circuit boards and rare-earth magnets that are worth recovering. After the agreed destruction scope is complete, recycling the remaining material prevents these components from being wasted or entering general waste.
Discuss your hard drive shredding & destruction requirements
Tell us what needs collecting from your business. Our team will review the equipment, quantities and location before discussing collection arrangements.
